Q. Can you undertake criminal record checks?
A. First Advantage Europe Ltd is registered as an Umbrella Body with the Criminal Records Bureau which means that where permitted by law we can assist an employer to obtain this information. There are various levels of Criminal Record Check available and our experts will always be able to advise you which level would be appropriate for your purposes.

Q. Do you offer different levels of screening?
A. Yes, we offer four different levels of screening. Full details can be provided upon request.

Q. Can you tailor screenings to a client's requirements?
A. Yes, we will always try and accommodate a client's particular requirements even if they fall outside our standard screenings.

Q. Is it necessary for an individual to provide their consent before being screened?
A. We operate with the full knowledge and consent of all parties which means that we do require an individual's consent before they are screened.

Q. Can you undertake checks outside the U.K.?
A. Yes we undertake non-UK checks for many of our clients. We regularly confirm qualifications and periods of employment from all parts of the world and one third of our staff are foreign language speakers or nationals.

Q. Doesn't screening contravene the Data Protection Act in some way?
A. No, it is our policy to always operate within the law and screening is perfectly legal as long as it is conducted properly and responsibly. In particular the person being screened must always consent to this process.
